Missouri Department of Conservation Introduces New Online Permit Auto-Renewal Service

The Missouri Department of Conservation’s (MDC) has introduced a new online Permit Auto-Renewal service designed to make renewing Missouri hunting, fishing, and trapping permits easier and more convenient.

According to an article on Springfield's KY3/KSPR website, permit buyers can automatically renew their licenses before the start of the next season or permit year so they never have an expired permit.

Francis Skalicky, the Media Specialist with the Missouri Department of Conservation told KY3, "In Missouri, numbers for hunting and fishing permits have held pretty steady. However, we do know that more and more people are going to technology so what we're trying to do is just utilize that technology."

Sovereign Sportsman Solutions developed and manages the Missouri Department of Conservations Hunt/Fish licensing and permitting system, as well as the Event Management system currently in use at MDC.

Bill Creighton, Sovereign's Chief Marketing Officer noted that today's consumers subscribe to a wide variety of subscription services such as Netflix, Spotify, and iTunes and that the auto-renewal program is simply an extension of that convenience.

"We live in a world of one-click buys and assume that our favorite services will continue uninterrupted as we enjoy them," said Creighton. "Hunting and fishing are major recreational activities MDC Customers enjoy and they now have that same level of convenience with these products. We are pleased to have been able to help MDC implement this great program."
